Our congregation is affiliated with The United Church of Christ which is a blend of four principal traditions – Congregational, Christian, Evangelical and Reformed churches – that have made a profound difference in US religions and political history. In 1957, these original four Christian communities united to form The United Church of Christ. In the Southwest, we cooperate with Presbyterian, Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), and the Moravian Church in areas of new church development and other mission ventures.

We are also members of the Southwest Conference of The United Church of Christ.

The Church of the Red Rocks Mission Statement:

“The vision of The Church of the Red Rocks is to be a place of peace and harmony, where all are welcome and respected. Our mission, through Christ, is to love God and to love and serve others.”

The United Church of Christ Mission Statement:

“Wherever you are on your life’s journey, you are welcome here.”

The Southwest Conference of The United Church of Christ Mission Statement:

“Extravagantly welcoming and affirming followers of Christ called to embody God’s unconditional justice and love.”

Former Southwest Conference Pastor John Dorhauer is now the General Minister and President of the United Church of Christ.  The current Southwest Pastor is Rev. Dr. Bill Lyons.
